Guidance for the HEQ-5
The installation is very simple and can be done by everyone.
First the original control is developed. For this the six fixing bolts on the gear cover plate are loosened and the cover is taken off. If done so, we can take out the four bolts of the top cover and remove this cover too. Before we can take out the electronic we have to put the motors out (this is a good moment to think about a gear change, here a great german description from Ulrich about the gear change!). The Gear change is not required but recomended!
Now the electronic can be removed from the mount. If done so the printed drilling template is placed on the top plastic cover. Here it is meaningfull to fixate the template with a piece of Tesa film. If you want to place the connector at a different place, you are free to do so ;-)
Then the two 3mm holes are bored into the top cover and the cutout for the connector is filed. Here are keyfiles (it gives in the building market) are best suitable. It is with files meaningful to examine again and again whether the connector already fits in the hole and so the recess exactly into the plate. Looks simply beautiful, if the connector fits exactly into the recess ; -)
If so far everything is correct, the control can be inserted into the mount. For this the old processor on the original electronic is levered out and the new HEQ-5 MCU update kit is inserted into the now free socket. Allways check the red marked place , so no unwanted connection to the underlying IC is made. The old processor can be sent to me gladly for recycling. Would unfortunate be, if one trowing the original MCU in the garbage ; -)
If this happened, the electronic can be inserted into the mount and bolted on again. To screw the connector on the top cover use the included bolds that are in each kit. So now we can screw on the motors, connect the motor plugs again and attach the covers again to the mount.
There is nothing to be said about the handbox update. The old processor has to be pulled out and the new processor has to be plugged in. Also this processor should not be thrown into the garbage (electronics scrap!). Thanks!
Too good lastly still the sayings, without which it unfortunately sometimes comes in our constitutional state to misunderstandings:

For function and/or for possible damage, which due to reproductions, which from me publish structural drawings, plates etc. result in, I do not take over myself any responsibility!
That sounds itself badly, is however half so wild (with me everything functions perfectly). I have only no desire me for a damage to answer for, only because someone has from such things no notion, a Akku short circuit and the hut or other absengelt.
